Nestled in the heart of Baghdad, Shanasheel Hotel blends tradition with contemporary elegance through a culturally rooted interior design concept by May Jbara Design Studio. The project reinterprets the charm of traditional Baghdadi architecture with modern sophistication, drawing inspiration from Shanasheel wooden latticework and local craftsmanship.

From the vibrant restaurant and café area with its patterned flooring, arch motifs, and lush green feature walls, to the warm and serene guestroom suites adorned with soft pastel textiles and geometric wall patterns, every space is curated for both comfort and visual richness. The palette embraces regional materials, earthy tones, and refined finishes, reflecting a sense of place while offering a luxurious hospitality experience.

Designed and executed from concept to completion, this project showcases our studio’s commitment to high-end hospitality interior design across the Middle East. Shanasheel Hotel is a statement in cultural identity, boutique hotel design, and timeless interior architecture.
